  • Gate, open rope ride through, shut rope. Free format but points for style, obedience and calmness.
  • Dismount and remount from bank. One of which must be from the wrong side, its easiest to dismount on the off side and remount from the near side.
  • Whip. pick whip up and swing it around whilst horse remains standing. Points are for calmness of horse. Do not crack the whip.
  • Bridge. Walk over bridge.
  • Backup. Between poles. L shape
  • Step over log. Walk or trot over a small log
  • Flag carry. Pick up flag and ride around the second barrel at either walk, trot or canter. If your horse is happy then let the flag out fully for more points but can be carried unfurled. Return the flag to the barrel.
  • Mat. Walk over a mat on the ground passing between the cones.
  • Water pistol. Fill and shoot at barrel target
  • Water carry. Pick up and fill jug with water then ride one handed over the bank then pour water back into barrel.
  • Sidestep over pole. Even 1 sideways step will gain marks but go the whole length of pole for more marks. If the pole is too much then you can do your steps next to it.
  • Pick up large teddy. Carry around cone and place back on barrel.
  • Sled pull.
  • The garden. Walk over poles and sawdust through narrow gap
  • Maze pole patten
  • Walk through noodles
Each obstacle must be completed within 45 seconds. If you exceed this time a whistle will be blown and you can move on to the next obstacle.
Whole course will be timed, and fastest time will be used to decide in the case of equal points.
Judging is based on calmness and responsiveness of horse along with good horsemanship.
